Waka Flocka Flame’s/ Or Trash And Lame
Waka’s goal in my opinion was to go for a different approach when it comes to a completely different type of genre of rap compared to anyone else’s sound. The word that truly summarizes Waka’s type of rap would no doubt be “Hype”. Responses from anyone listening to Waka would most likely go like this “why are you listening to Waka? He doesn’t rap about anything important!” . This may be true, and 70% of the time it is true. This is because when it comes to Waka, what he does best is make pointless hype party songs that give people energy from out of nowhere. This gets people up and moving to his music both jigging and twerking. Songs like “Round of Applause, Clap, I Got, and Grove St. Party” all exemplify these reactions.
The popular attention from the listeners usually comes from the young audience of teens that are partiers. Most song of “hype” Nature are party song consisting of the existence of drug and alcohol….
Permalink Jay-Z: 99 Problems Review
In the song 99 Problems Jay-Z has one part of the song where he gets stopped by the police. The police pulls him over for going 55mph in the 54mph, but it’s really because he’s a black male in a nice expensive car. They try to intimidate him and they think he doesn’t know anything about the law. Jay-Z knew his rights and knew the police couldn’t search any part of his car that was locked without a warrant.
Permalink Vato: By Snoop Dogg
So in the song Vato by Snoop Dogg there is a reference to a gun shot out that will happen. In the song Snoop Dogg is approached by some Latino gang bangers that try to rob him. The song then goes on to talk about how he retaliates by getting his gun and then firing. Anyone that knows of Snoop Dogg and his past would understand that he is one that will fire back if approached in the wrong way. Snoop Doggs past in many ways resembles the past action of him. Supposed crip he has been in the rap game for a pretty long time. This song to me reflects the image that most see him to be. The song is one that is dark however it is uplifted by the beats that are in the song. To sum the song up I’d have to say that if your one that likes a good beat and live or understand the life then this song is one for you. In a rating scale of 5 I would have to give this song 4. This is because as I stated before the beat is uplifting and while I don’t live the life I however do understand it. The song is a pretty good song.

Man Down by Rihanna: Just Lyrics or Just Crazy?
“Oh, mama, mama, mama, I just shot a man down in central station in front of a big ‘ol crowd”  goes the chorus of Rihanna’s latest song to cause a wave of uproar among parents and mixed feelings from her fans.  The vividly grotesque,  uncensored lyrics of Man Down definitely reveal a grittier side of the popular pop artist which her mainstream audience has never seen before.
Although Rihanna claims to have written the song to empower women in abusive relationships, her lyrics blatently glorifies murder as a way to solve domestic violence.  However, taking account Rihanna’s own run in with domestic abuse, one would have to wonder: did Rihanna write Man Down in spite against her ex-boyfriend Christ Brown in a twisted fantasy of revenge, or is she simply a victim scrutinized by the media for testing the limits of her freedom of speech?
No matter which way you slice it, if Rihanna were to ever act upon the message of her song, Man Down, in the state of North Carolina, according to state law she would face punishment by imprisonment or death.
But, everyone has their own opinion for why Rihanna made the song, and you can either support her musical genius or step back to examine the deeper meaning behind her lyrics.  As consumers, we each have a right to choose.
